There will be a reorganization get together of the Saturday OT Committee and Operatic Society. We will gather on Saturday around 4PM at Mark's Pub, 1287 N Washington St, Wilkes-Barre. This is sort of our version of Drinking Liberally except the conversation wanders away from politics to sports, movies, old TV shows, bad jokes and if we stay too long we start singing and they ask us to leave.
We don't have a set agenda but some of subjects to be covered will be trashing politicians of all stripes, cheering on UCLA against USC, why the Eagle's suck, what Bowl game Penn State is going to and the baseball off season. As musical director of the committee I expect to table a motion to change our theme song from a slurred version of Bohemian Rhapsody to a totally incoherent rendition of Beethoven's Ode to Joy in the original German. So join us at Mark's for reasonably priced libations and the world famous (almost) Carmen Burger.

It sounds like a great idea to rekindle our Saturday gathering. We don't get to see enough of each other. More importantly, we are way behind on discussing important issues and solving the world's problems. Looking forward to it.
I once created an entirely unique economic system at a bar with friends from grad school. We forgot to write it down. Farewell date with immortaility.
