Freshman GOP state rep Karen Boback wouldn't agree to a debate with her primary challenger, James May, so I'm sure she will find an excuse to avoid a conversation with Democratic nominee Russ Bigus.
This story in the TL today is full of ifs, ohs and uhs.
Don't hold your breath Russ, she will not appear on the same platform with you.

Hello???
Why aren't they holding this debate in the 117th District? What's wrong with trying some "convenient" location (for the folks who CAN vote in the district)in the Back Mountain or Mountaintop? What about Tunkhannock?
I guess the League of Vultures...excuse me, Voters...roost wherever they want.
Location, location, location.
Heaven help us, what's there to debate? Did you see these two pathetic creatures debate in past elections? I'd rather watch the stop sign rust in Noxen.
'Sounds like that's the ONLY thing you're capable of doing. And, if you're so smart (it's easy to take pot-shots), why don't YOU seek office? It doesn't take a lot of motivation (or brains, for that matter!) to sit and make wise cracks.
At least the Good Doctor (Boback) has a list of credits a mile long...have you checked her Harrisburg achievements? Why don't you spend some time studying up on both of the candidates? You're what's wrong with this country!
Well genius boback lover, I have been involved in political campaigns. Many of them with countless hours of hard work with nothing in it for me to the point my business has suffered. Meanwhile your good doctor friend won't do anything to end teachers strikes except endorse committees to get her off the hook with her psea chums. Dr. Pretty in pink votes to give large for Pittsburgh stadiums. Even loser russ bogus attends her fundraisers and gives her some coin. Sounds real conservative if you ask me.
THE DUCK STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here we go again...another challenger with nothing to offer. What does Big-ass ( I mean Bigus) do anyway? Does he even have a job? And what are his qualifications? Mud-slinging should be left to those who do it best: pigs!
Or am I hitting a nerve here?
First bobacks lists of accomplishments in harrisburg include NO legislation introduced. She did nothing in her 2 year term. Second of all if you want to know about Russ check his website rather than asking if he even has a job and third, go to the debate on October 30 in mtn top to see which one of the better is a better fit.
MOUNTAIN TOP - A debate between Republican state Rep. Karen Boback and Democratic challenger Russ Bigus has been scheduled for Oct. 30.
Hosted by the Wilkes-Barre chapter of the League of Women Voters, the debate for the 117 state Legislative District will be held 7-8 p.m. at the Crestwood School District, said Jane Manganella, League of Women Voters Wilkes-Barre chapter president.
