He gave up 3 runs in 5 innings then held a press conference while the game was going on then left before it was over.

Gort: I was at that game. And while it was cool to see him there, you got the impression he was mailing it in.David Yonkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00025916404029693902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12341882.post-25248199143992342252007-05-27T14:02:00.000-04:002007-05-27T14:02:00.000-04:00I was at the stadium a few years back when Schilli...I was at the stadium a few years back when Schilling made a rehab start. The interest in Percival just shows how desperate they are for a solid reliever. Zagurski has impressed in first two appearances but you don't take a kid from AA and make him the closer. But then again you don't do that with your opening day starter.Gorthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18353409316468830796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12341882.post-7183503099435339452007-05-27T12:48:00.000-04:002007-05-27T12:48:00.000-04:00Clemens is not the messiah, his Yanks are 11 1/2 b...Clemens is not the messiah, his Yanks are 11 1/2 back now and while he makes up his mind to bring his weak fastball back up to the bigs, I shall sit here salivating while I watch what the Sox do to him. In the end this might be the greatest thing he has ever done for the Sox, make George look like a fool while he finishes 7-5 with a 4. something e.r.aAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12341882.post-86294687230582959652007-05-26T21:51:00.000-04:002007-05-26T21:51:00.000-04:00I go back and forth on the whole Clemens thing. I...I go back and forth on the whole Clemens thing. If he wants to pitch, then pitch the whole season - spring training and all. On the other hand, if he can get someone to pay him $1 million/game, good for him. As a former sports anchor one told me, you're worth whatever someone will pay you. I hear there's some other guy - Perceval? - thinking of doing the same thing, and the Phillies are reportedly interested. Yikes! I saw Zagurski's inning Friday night, and I liked what I saw. Maybe he can be the closer. Alfonseca scares me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12341882.post-53058405296179600842007-05-26T11:56:00.000-04:002007-05-26T11:56:00.000-04:00Gort, I was driving up 81 to get tickets today. Th...Gort, I was driving up 81 to get tickets today. Then they said $25.00 for bullpen standing seats and $15.00 for sro seats. So I started to slow down. Then I heard it was going to be on ESPN and took the Avoca exit and headed back home. I had a tinge of regret but then when I heard the crazies were going to start camping out a Cinemark the night before to view "The Rocket" from the hinterlands, I totally felt at ease. Seeing a legend might have been fun but not at this cost. I've met many pitching heroes of my youth, Bunning, Lolich, Maracial, Koufax, Bob Gibson (even though he scowled at me) Ford and the late Don Drysdale, Tug McGraw, Bob Lemon, Chris Short and Early Wynn. That's more than enough for any guy. I'll be drinking a cold TAB in front of the tube watching it. Your Phils are maintaing which is good.David Yonkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00025916404029693902noreply@blogger.com
