Last week Rick Santorum (R-VA) addressed the Centre County Republican Party and asked them to support him. During the course of his speech Rick actually compared putting a Santorum bumper sticker on your car to serving your country in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Santorum: "And yet we have brave men and women who are willing to step forward because they know what's at stake. They're willing to sacrifice their lives for this great country. What I'm asking all of you tonight is not to put on a uniform. Put on a bumper sticker. Is it that much to ask? Is it that much to ask to step up and serve your country?"

HAHA, thats something I might write and try to get away with. You know EXACTLY what he was saying. Support me because I'll support the President, the Troops, and the war!
More so my myopic liberal friend, there is only about 1% of all our forces serving in IRAQ, we have people serving bravely all over the world and US. Take of the blinders.
Math time Doc: if you are correct about 1% of our forces serving in Iraq, then we would have to have 13,600,000 people serving in our military. I find that incredibly difficult to believe considering that at the height of the Veitnam War, we had 4,600,000 troops.
According to the DOD , we had roughly 1.5 million active duty forces in 2002. Are you saying that our military grew by almost 12 million troops in the time since that was published? Actually, according to another DOD publication our active forces are down from October to November by 690 troops (small I'll grant you) and a total of 30,000 from 11/04 to 11/05. That's not good.
Don't let small things like DOD numbers stand in the way of your claims.
