Hillary claims victory in Florida

Never mind the fact that there are no delegates at stake and all the candidates agreed to skip the state because they violated the party rules. I just saw on TV that she is in FLA to give a victory speech in a meaningless election after agreeing to skip the state.
.
After the thumping she took in South Carolina she needs to point to some sort of victory, even a Pyrrhic one. Such bullshit doesn't sit well with me. You can't change the rules to suit your needs.
.
Ted and Caroline Kennedy's endorsement of Barrack Obama yesterday was really a rejection of the politics of the past from a political family of the past that looks to the future. My Republican friends will respond by making some sort of Chappaquiddick joke but the Kennedy's still matter. Ted is the Liberal Lion that will help with labor, lefty's and older folks that were inspired by President JFK. Teddy can still rally the faithful because the dream will never die.
.
The good thing about the impending regime change that will happen less than a year from now is we will have a President that can speak the English language, no matter who wins the election.
.
And this guy can speak the King's English. Obama's victory speech in SC:

  1. Somebody does need to change the rules, though. The Democratic party in Michigan also decided to push up their Primary in an effort to avoid the sort of irrelevancy that their state, like Pennsylvania, has always been subject to - and to bring in some desperately-needed additional revenue as the candidates and their entourages campaigned in the state, rather than simply doing a drive-by. But because they broke the immutable, inviolable, sacred rules of Primary order (1. IOWA shall be FIRST, for IOWA has ALWAYS been FIRST; 2. NEW HAMPSHIRE shall be SECOND, for SIMILAR REASONS...) and were duly punished by the national party by having their Primary declared null and void, thereby resulting in almost NO money being spent there as part of the capaigns. And who suffered? The economy of Michigan - and the people of Michigan. How well-disposed towards the Democratic Party do you think the good people of michigan will be, after this collective economic punishment?

Blame should be place on Michican't and Florida's state democratic parties, not the D.N.C. as a whole. Rules are rules.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they all move up to become relevant? So what if Michigan and Florida jumped ahead of the Super Tuesday pack. If they could get their crap together and pull it off successfully with no voter irregularities than good for them. Who the hell are the D.N.C. but a bunch of cronies!!! Hence the problem with this country.

Anon, I didn't say anything about the Republican's and frankly I don't see why they were penalized either.

Bottom line is, you shouldn't disenfranchize the voter. By taking away their delegates the D.N.C. is basically saying don't show up because your primary don't count.

If your so hell bent on sanctions, come up with another that doesn't take away the voice of the people.
