Whilst taking a break from teaching late afternoon yesterday, I took a stroll down to Public Square and had to endure the searing ear shattering sounds of Mr. Davy Jones. I remember this young man only because my two daughters were rabidly devoted to him and his music (if you want to call that tripe music; personally I lean toward Shostakovich and Stravinsky). It kept going through my mind yesterday that had this been 1968, instead of 2008, there would have been every available police officer on the square to quell the thousands of screaming young children. But alas, yesterday poor Mr. Jones was singing to a crowd so small that I could have discussed the merits of War and Peace with each individual and still had time for afternoon tea. My point is that the man that Gort proclaims as the next President is held up by a foundation of support that is fickle at best; he has good intentions but is quite naive and has yet to actually frame an actual list of policies. I had hoped to advise Mr. Obama to drop out whilst he was here in Pennsylvania, but Gort refused to print the guest column which I submitted (it seems that free speech only applies to those who "support" Mr. Obama). So now I say again--all little children are fickle and if Mr. Obama or his supporters are so blinded to actually print headlines that he shall be the next President, I would suggest they talk to Mr. Dukakis and Mr. Kerry. Class dismissed.

  3. Professor, I forgot about your guest post. My apologies. It has now been published.

Just another empty suit. Look at his actions and not his words. ON EVERY major issue he has been just as partisan as Ted Kennedy. Barack is a BS artist and is not capable of uniting anything.

Alternatively, Hillary has flipped her lid by saying she will bring down OPEC....lost it.

I can't say much about McCain because he just doesn't do it for me. But I will be voting NON SOCIALIST this year.

So again, i will be voting against somebody and not for somebody.

There's a problem with your post, Mr Gort. You entitled it The next President of the United States, but used the wrong picture; the next President of the United States will be John McCain.

Once the general election heats up McCain will have plenty to answer for...
