  1. Apparently Katie didn't get the memo about softball questions. NO SPECIFICS! THE GOVERNOR DOES NOT DO SPECIFICS!

  2. I could almost hear the crickets chirping in the first few seconds...

This debate between Palin and Biden should be interesting to say the least.

When she first came out, and gave her speech at the covention I really thought Biden was in for a rough debate...
    After her three interviws however...
She's like one of those action figures where you pull the string in their back and they say the same 3 or 4 things over and over and over and over...

Face it; she's appealing to the eye and a woman that's the only reason he chose her. They went after all of the Hillary people (like myself). Initially it worked, but now the people are realizing their is nothing behind the beauty. McCain's camp cannot honestly say they vetted her or if they did they found nothing because she has nothing. I almost feel sorry for her going into the debate. I just hope Biden takes off the gloves and doesn't become a gentleman. He should wipe the floor with her and make her cry and run off the stage. That should effectively end McCain's chances.

Katie, Obama didn't get a boost in the polls during this crisis because people feel he can do a better job. That's just your opinion. My opinion is that this crisis is hurting Mom and Pop. It is easy to feel that all corporate executives are Republicans but we know that isn't the reality. Since they are blaming this crisis on corporate greed the average Joe is linking it directly to the Republicans.

Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton started this problem with the Community Reinvestment Act(CRA). People who couldn't afford their home long term, and I stress long term, were given mortgages because a law was pointing at the same corporate executives to do so.

George Bush was warning of this impending crisis back in 2001. But nobody paid attention because the bleeding hearts were worried about poor America. If the bleeding hearts had compassion back then and the wisdom to see that these people would not be able to sustain their home long term they would have stepped up with corrective financing and not wait until every defaulted on their mortgages which is exactly what we are seeing now.

We are about to inject $700 billion to fix what Democrats and Republicans alike screwed up. No oversight but now the battle cry is for oversight. I have a fix. I would give $700 billion to buy up the firms, not bail them out. I wouldn't replace management overnight because that would create chaos. Over time, each and every high level person would be replaced. By buying them out I would now own their assets, assets that could be sold to give back the money to the taxpayers who gave it to them in the first place. With the profit down the road when the firms are sold back to private industry I would use the money to rebuild our infrastrucure that so badly needs it. This way taxpayers are not being taxed to take care of that problem. I would create a commission to oversee that rebuild so the fiasco that happened in Boston with the Big Dig doesn't happen again.

I would pass term limit legislation so that the lobbyists' influence is muted but not silenced. I would also pass lobbyist reform legislation that prevents an office holder from lobbying for at least 5 years, not one. I

I would pass legislation that if we have to bail you out you are going to jail. If smokers in PA face an esclating fine of $250.00 to $1000.00 for smoking in a public place corporates should be facing stiff time for using their lack of intelligence which forced people into bankruptcy and the loss of their home.

Don't get me wrong. Mom and Pop have complicity in this mess. Learn to balance a checkbook. Learn responsible spending. Get rid of any credit card where you can't pay the balance at the end of the month. Teach your children to do the same. Don't blame lenders when you want them to lend to you. It all starts at home.

  7. She was nutz for going on the record with Couric. The way she just stared and looked at her was very unconfortable. Couric is a douche.

What uncomfortable is watching Barack interviews. they kinda go like this.

Interviewer: So how's it going Mt Obama.

Obama: aa aa aa uh uh uh it's uh good to be hear. Thanks for uh asking.

Interviewer: So how does it feel to be the first black presidential candidate ?

Obama: Uh uh uh good good, you know I've traveled all 57 states and I've heard the cries for change and hope and change and hope and some more change.

Interviewer: So McCain, he's got 13 cars

Interviewer: Yes that's right 13 cars. What's uh up with that. I mean uh uh uh keeping all those tire inflated, uh uh that just shows his uh um um a a a a toal disregard for um um um Global oil warm um ing...

  11. Apparently Kathy Ireland wasn't available.

She's at least kept a business afloat (sorry Carly) after her modeling career was over. According to Forbes (http://www.forbes.com/lifestyle/2006/02/02/fashion-supermodels-licensing-cz_kb_0203fashion2_ls.html), her clothing line has over $1 billion in sales worldwide.
