The Times-Leader backs the underdog O'Brien

Corey has been running a very good mix of old and new campaigning techniques. He knocked on my door a few weeks ago and I get constant email and Facebook updates. His fundraising has lagged far behind Congresman Paul Kanjorski so he hasn't aired a new TV spot lately while Kanjo is blasting out the fact that he voted to extend unemployment benefits.

Whoever wins this race is much preferrable to El alcalde Lou Barletta quiere ver sus papeles.

  1. All I can say is Wow!
Can Paul Kanjorski get high power backing to keep him in the game?

Unlike the Derk endorsement this means little. O'Brien has been outspent by too much and has not created enough press to support his effort (like Sestak has done against Specter - who is going down faster than Monica on Bill).

The TL sighted the single huge reason they have a problem with Paul - Cornerstone.

Kanjo wins 60 - 40, but is going to have a much bigger fight and smaller war chest in Lou.

But only a fool would try to call this race this early. It is a lifetime between now and November.

This just killed any chance O'Brien had and nothing is going to help Derk.

Here is a secret I will share, I planned to vvote for Corey but with this endorsement, Kanjo gets my vote.

    You comment makes no sense.

Keep your "secrets" to yourself - no one cares.

In spite of the TL endorsement, Corey deserves a pizza and hopefully he will get one. No pizza for Kanjo and he can blame Minni Me for all his back biting so this is a special requiest to Pizza Pete to give a pizza to O'Brien but hold off on Kanjo's.

"I'm Paul Kanjorski....I give away freebies". A winner every time in this area.

  7. Keep a TL endorsement in perspective: they endorsed Rick Santorum over Bobby Casey, and Don Sherwood AFTER the mistress choking episode over Chris Carney. Then when the TL editorial staff endorsed Obama over McCain, Richard Connor had them "revote" after he gave them a "Gipper" speech. They still voted for Obama. But some "democracy" there at the TL: if the owner doesn't like a vote...have a revote! I'm surprised he didn't have them keep voting until McCain won!

  8. I actually don't mind O'Brien...but like anonymous said above, he got the kiss of death from the TL. I think politicians cross their fingers they DON'T get a TL endorsement. O'Brien probably said, "OH, CRAP!!!" when he found out the news.

  9. I think Obama said: "SH*T!!! The TL endorsed me, even after a revote! Can you contact Richard Connor to have another revote??? Doesn't he have any sway over there???"

Anon 6:41 obviously cares or would not have taken the time to post a comment. If you have nothing better to do then perhaps a life would be in order? Go get one!
