The only Democrat that has had the balls to announce he is running for Congress before the new boundaries are set is Bill Vinsko.
I think that is a smart move. Lou Barletta is a Republican freshman in a traditionally Democratic district and no matter how they draw the lines in Harrisburg this should be a very competitive seat. By getting out there early Vinsko is clearing the field.
I don't know the guy but I hope to quiz him on the issues at his gathering at
at the Wyoming Valley Country Club

A word of advice to the Vinsko camp. Put some content on the website.
Hard to know how allocate sources until new lines are drawn. Depending on where they are a strong dem may be a better option.
ReplyDeleteAlways good to see a kick off at a "country club," I had when republicans do it, because it shows how out of touch they are, now a dem is doing it. The elitist has already lost my vote.
ReplyDeleteA kick off that eliminates the rank and file Democrats is a dumb move. I don't know who his adivsor is but right from the get go, its time for a change. Vinsko should have rented the Ramada or some other large room, invited every Democrat Committee person and interested Democrats and kicked off with a bang ....... instead of a bang, I think he shot himself in the foot. The good thing is that if he is going to make stupid mistakes, this is the time to do it. So let the recovery begin and announce a huge announcement rally. Wil Toole
ReplyDeleteGood point Wil, I agree. Money is important but grass roots is much more imortant. He won't outspend Barletta. The national Republican party will dump a ton to keep him in office. He voted to kill Medicare and that's what counts in the Party of the rich.
