Sometimes I get it right

My blog buddy A Big Fat Slob recently pointed out that I called the Republican nomination 2 years ago.

From November 12, 2006

The Republicans always have been very orderly about the nomination and it's McCain's turn. He has to win over or at least neutralize the religious conservatives and he's trying. He has to be the fiscal conservative guy as he has always been out front on wasteful spending. On national security it's hard to find a bigger hawk.

I'll give you another shocking prediction. The Democrats will win the White House and increase their majorities in both the House and Senate.

Mike Huckabee for Vice President

The Huckaboom continues as Mike Huckabee wins in Kansas. CNN is projecting that he will win 30+ of the 36 delegates at stake today. To beat McCain he will to keep doing this but the math is not in his favor. After Romney dropping out I think he is either hoping for a miracle (he said he is) or he wants to be the number 2 on the ticket.

McCain pisses people off

For all his pandering to the Jerry Falwells of the world and getting his head stuck up Bush's ass this ad reminds me of why I like the guy. I still think if he would have been the Republican nominee in 2000 the election wouldn't have even been close, not that I would have voted for him. The tag line is "I love America enough to make some people angry."

Thanks to Sully for pointing this out and he says...Imagine an Obama-McCain race: adult, graceful, necessary, and good for us.
