Who's the fat guy over the former black man?
The fat guy-- and that's the slimmest looking picture I've ever seen of him-- is right wing Pennsylvania congressman Phil English (Erie). There have been rumors all over the district that he was picking up teenage male prostitutes on Parade Street when Foley was still just cruising for military men.

I never thought that His Holiness would have the opportunity in his lifetime to make the following statement to my Republican children (no pun intended): Face it guys---it's over.
Again and again I am reminded of a passage from the Gospels, Matthew 16:26:
"What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?"

I heard that the pages involved are actually above the age at which Foley would have been committing a crime by acting on the things he wrote to them (and vice versa) about. Since the pages were above the age of consent, I don't see how this can be a criminal act. Foley's actions are nonetheless repugnant for the same reason Bill Clinton's were: the conduct was in (or related to) the workplace, and it involved a subordinate. That is the only thing I can see wrong with this, although it is plenty wrong by itself.
Given the United Nations' sex-for-food scandal, I have advocated putting a Megan's Law sexual predator warning outside the UN building. In the UN's case, the conduct involved girls as young as seven and it was widespread.
What is totally offensive to me about this is the way Foley has checked himself into an alcohol clinic. Alcohol abuse has nothing to do with this news story, it's only being done to soften the guys image. Can you imagine if Hitler and Mussolini had a Betty Ford type clinic to go to? Mea Culpa, mea culpa.
Good line up though, rivals anything I've seen in the post office or on the Sheriff's page on the CV.

I'm angrier than Bill Clinton at a celibacy retreat over the way the Commies have spun their sick lies just weeks before election day slandering the good reputation of a fine man like Congressman Foley. I guess the Mao worshipping pagans couldn;t be satisfied with just destroying our Sainted Senator Santorum (like the Commie who runs this site--comparing the Sen. to Gomer)--they have to go for the jugular. THe one thing the Mr. Foley is guilty of is too much hooch--in my day if you were a politician and you had too much hooch the press had a degree of respect--they covered whatever you did up--and you loved it!!! But now, all the namby pamby liberals are out to make false accusations---case in point---Cong. Foley is NOT GAY--he may have been a little tipsy trying to woo some sweet 16 girl page (hey you creeps--I married my wife Thelma Jean when she was 15--and we have a great life [if you discount my two Commie kids]--you got a problem with that?!? There is no such thing as a gay republican--only Commies and Liberals are GAY!!! So all you wacked out Commie wusses go and get your aprons on and take mop in hand and clean up all of the mud that you have shamefully slinged at the Sained Sen. Santorum and the Honorable Mr. FOley. God Bless them both--and why don't you all do us a favor and go to Hell!!!
This has nothing to do with English or Foley being guy. It's about propositioning those under the legal age of consent. I know that some in the GOP would love to make homosexuality a crime, but it isn't.
