Skrep gets 2 years

Skrepenak sentenced to 24 months in prison, fine

Shock, tears and a vow to survive

Former Luzerne County Commissioner Greg Skrepenak showed up in court yesterday to receive his sentence for being a crook clutching a bible. The last few days his lawyer has thrown out all sorts of weak excuses why he shouldn't go to jail.

Go Easy On Me, Judge. I’m Really Likeable, And My Knees Hurt

Judge Richard Conaboy didn't buy any of it and gave him the longest sentence to date in Corruption Junction.

The reaction from his fellow Bond Brother Todd Vonderheid:

“I have no comment.”

The $70,000+ worth of bribes to Skrep must have played a part of the reckless spending and borrowing spree that Skrepenak and Vonderheid went on after they were elected after they helped shoot down the last Home Rule proposal. Trust us, they said.

That worked out well.

Todd Vonderheid - un-indicted co conspirator. He's as much a part of this as the judges, Powell and Skrep.

What I don't understand is why he's paid $175,000 from the Chamber of Horrors - the board has a responsibility to dump him.

  2. This is yet another thief that had a show on WILK. I still recall Skrep's short-lived sports show where every week he would name (and I kid you not) "the stud of the week".

For a future broadcast: "The stud of the week" will be Luther from cell block 8.

WILK seems to have a knack for getting these kind of folks. Remember Corbett was doing his show from one of Greco's eateries live. Kind of makes you go hmmmmm

It truly breaks my heart that the Obama justice department has done Mr. Skrepenak. an injustice. May God bless him.

The Chamber is broke, can't pay the taxes due on their property and this pig has the balls to take a salary that rivals a top executive. What has he done to even earn $50,000? As for him not making a comment, I don't blame him. His only comment should be, "Gulity Your Honor"
