Polls and predictions

I put up 3 polls on the sidebar tonight asking who you will think will win the races in the 10th and 11th Congressional Districts plus the Governor's race in Pennsylvania. I'm not asking who you are voting for but who you think will win. I'll add a few more polls on the competitive races over the next few days. My predictions will be posted next weekend but until then please feel free to give me your prognostications in the comments or even better send me a guest post. I expect my fellow bloggers will also break out their crystal balls.

Students, my predictions:

U.S. Rep. 11th Dist. Lou Barletta
U.S. Rep. 10th Dist. Mr. Marino
Governor: Mr. Corbett

A 60 to 70 seat gain for the GOP in the House of Representatives.

A 8 to 10 seat plurality in the U.S. Senate for the GOP; control is still possible but not likely.

All of this, of course, shall be made possible by the unwillingness, apathy or downright laziness of the young voters who so diligently turned out for Mr. Obama two years ago.
For all of those who laughed or mocked my previous lectures on the fickle nature of youth, I shall be waiting on your apologies on Wednesday morning. I will not hold my breath, as none of you are known for showing any character beyond what the world can "give" to you.
Class dismissed!!!!!!

1000% spot on. Young people could change the outcome of the election if they wanted to...they could keep the House in Dem control...but they will not.

Interesting results on "who your readers think will win" Reflects the bias (not a bad thing) of your readers. The poll that counts is coming soon - and in some ways, not soon enough. Tuesday night is going to be a lot of fun.

I know a lot of young people who voted Obama and aren't happy. You're calling it apathy, I call it disappointment. A quite a few are going to vote "R"
Everyone wants to blame the voter. How about the elected officials take some responsibility. The hope and change rhetoric turned out to be just that, rhetoric.
