No war in Syria

The President just asked Congress to approve a strike on Syria. I hope they say no.

For once the GOP can obstruct him on something that matters to the country and not just to the yahoo's.

Agreed. We really, truly have to stop being the world's police force. We have trouble adequately policing our own streets, let alone stopping every bad actor in the world. Enough already. If "humanity" is truly offended by the Syrian dictator's actions, then "humanity" can collectively take action.

Every time Bush used rattled sabers and then used military force I was reminded of a marine warrant officer I served with. He told me sommething that has stuck with me all these years.

Beware of those who cry loudest for war, because they are usually the ones who have never seen the horrors of war.
