Clueless

What a way to lose a ballgame. Bret Myers is pitching a shutout and actually warms up in the 8th inning. Then Cholly takes him out! Unless he's hurt or something leave him in and go for the shutout. Of course the bullpen then blows the lead with Wagner one out away from ending the game giving up a dinger. On Monday night he sits Thome because Dontrell Willis has struck him out 10 times. But in the 7th he sends in Thome to pinch hit against Willis who of course struck him out. These are only latest of the bonehead moves this guy has made. Maybe Bowa hurt the feelings of all these sensitive millionaires, but he could manage a game.

Charlie did something similar to Wolf in last night's game. He was throwing a great game and was taken out. Needless to say, Wolf didn't seem to happy about it. He should have let him in until he let a run in. Fortunately, they did win the game, but I don't thing Charlie is good for the Phillies.

Your right. 2 out in the 6th and he takes Wolf out. Fortunately Madson got a ground ball to end the inning and they won. It was great to see Wolf arguing with him.

at least your team is winning. We can't even beat the Brewers or the Royals for that matter. We look like the yankees of the 80's but at least then they waited to fall apart in the second half instead of June.

Charlie Manuel is the weak link this year. It is always something. The Phillies are going in the right direction. The nucleus is strong, and now that we have Rollins for seven more years, it will only get better. Unfortunately, I hope it doesn't take too long before they sack Cholly and try again. Bring Bowa back!!!
