Liz Sichler busted

Until she resigned as the the Vice-Chair of the Luzerne County Republican Party in 2008 Sichler was best known for her hard nosed approach to politics with a particular talent for challenging the nominating petitions of candidates that she opposed.

According to the TL story she was running a Bernie Madoff type ponzi scheme until it unravelled and is now accused of embezzling $2 million from her title search company and the people who trusted her to do the paperwork to buy a new home.

She was a top operative of State Representative Karen Boback before all of this and succeeded in getting James May kicked off the the ballot in 2006. In 2008 she was one of the leaders of the Boback campaign that turned back May's primary challenge then quit politics a few days after the primary after the news broke that the Secret Service was investigating her activities.

Liz was a big contributor to various Republican candidates before she ran out of other peoples money to throw around. She tossed $825 to Karen Boback before the 2008 election and in the 2008 federal elections she dropped 8 grand to her favs including $4600 for Lou Barletta and $3200 to Dan Meusers losing effort.

I find it disgusting that anyone who throws their support to a good and Christian conservative (like Mr. Meuser) has to take the risk of having the Obama justice department trump up charges against them. God Bless Miss Sichler and to Hell with the media and the bloggers!!!

I understand Mr. Meuser became an investor in Priority Search after his election defeat - but the TL story indicates that not to be the case - maybe it was a loan instead of an investment. I suspect bankruptcy documents will reveal the truth.

Regardless, I don't think this is about the GOP as much as it is about a bad person. The damage she's done is just beginning to be understood.

I don't think you'll see this "dirtbag" getting a slap on the wrist. Madoff got a ton of time, she should get a similar sentence. It would be nice to see our judges finally make an example out of somebody, instead of all this deal making, which results in laughable sentences.

For all of those smart people out in Luz county who say that corruption and wrong doing is a Democratic problem I don't think so.

Her reach was far in Republican politics. Anyone who has accepted money from her or had her work on a campaign is now suspect.

Is she related to the bike shop people

Liz Sichler personally engineered the election of Terry Casey as the County Republican Chair - he needs to resign the chairmanship NOW! He has disgraced the Republican Party by having her as his vice chair!!

Sichler also hired Republican Executive director Renita Fennick - what an interesting group of friends she has!

Feds don't bring cases unless they can close the case

Once again we see Lou Barletta and his connections to every type of person but an honest one!

"GOP ROSE" AKA SUE HENRY, GAVE NARY A MENTION TO THIS STORY ON HER RADIO SHOW YESTERDAY, INSTEAD FOCUSING ON SOME CITY WORKER WHO USED A BACKHOE WITHOUT PERMISSION. LET US SEE: 2 MILLION EMBEZZLED VS. PERHAPS A FEW HUNDRED BUCKS. REPUBLICANS, I GUESS GET A PASS WHEN THEY RIP OFF THE COMMON MAN.

Sue Henry gave me crap yesterday, via e-mail, because I suggested that her outrage at Obama for saying "kick some ass" was for "her audience's sake" and not genuine at all.

She went off on Obama for almost the entire first hour of her show saying that it was beneath the "Office of the President" to use such vulgarity, instead of talking about more important issues: Marcellus Shale, Liz Sichler corruption, etc...

I really like Sue but am beginning to understand that she is not as unbiased as I had originally thought.

She is just a right wing wacko who is under cover a bit, but when given the chance will go after every Democrat no matter how insignificant the issue.

Not to mention that GOP Rose's audience (or at least her callers) are a bunch of ingrates who probably have crayon stains on their hands from writing their "Birther" posters and their checks to the NRA. I swear, it is damned embarrassing to hear them talk with their stupid logic and even dumber dialect. I always wonder what some poor out of towner from civilization must be thinking of this area if he comes across this tripe while driving on '81.

Someone neeeds to open an investigation into Liz Sichler's political involvement and her role in placing Terry Casey into the county Republican chairman's job!

So, WILK must've been all over this, right???

"Liberal" (wink wink) Steve Corbett must've devoted his whole show to this corruption, right??? Had a field day.

GOP ROSE, I love the name. I have been turned off by her phony BS for quite some time. I do try to listen to her program but it just can't be done. I just can't take her whinny camouflaged Republican BS and I turn her off in favor of the sound of silence. I'm not crazy about the chick that replaces her either. I find her to be as common as a bullfrog. Why does WILK insists on flooding the air waves with the likes of Corbett, GOP Rose, Rush Limbaugh and then that real whacko Dr Savage. I do have to say that Dr Savage is at least funny. I get a kick out of his ranting. He plays bits of pieces from people he hates and then begins to scream, "Get of my program, get of my program", screaming like a mad man. I wish I had a video link to really see him in his rants. What a hoot!

Why hasn't the FBI looked at Liz Sichler and her close relationship to banker and county Republican chair Terry Casey???

Anonymous said...

Hey - the feds also need to look at why she hired Renita Fennick to be the paid GOP executive - there is a GREAT story there!

Anonymous said...

yeah - I hear that Sichler personally hired her friend Fennick to be the executive
