The promise of spring
The groundhog said winter will end early then we got a blizzard. Al Gore told me that the planet is melting then we had the coldest February in history. But there is hope. Pitchers and catchers have reported and today is the Daytona 500. The pre-race program was all about the cheating scandal. I'm shocked that they cheat in auto racing, the next thing you know they will accuse baseball players of taking steroids.

Hi Gort,
I couldn’t find an e-mail address on your blog, so I decided to post this in the comments section to make sure you got it.
I found your blog via leftyblogs.com and I wanted to send you this information about the FCC hearing coming up on Friday in Harrisburg. I thought you might want to blog about it and/or come to the event if you can.
For more info, you can also go to www.stopbigmedia.com
(by the way, I grew up in the Lehigh Valley, so while I live in Maine now, I am a native of PA)
Public Notice
Official FCC Hearing
on Media Ownership
Harrisburg will host the third of six official FCC hearings on media ownership on Friday, February 23, 2007
Scheduled to commence at 9 a.m.
in the Sunoco Performance Theater
at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts,
222 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA
This is a rare opportunity to share your thoughts about media
ownership with all five FCC Commissioners! Topics will include
whether or not one company should be allowed to own the daily
newspaper, a television station as well as radio stations in your
hometown. How might news coverage, media competition and
small business advertisers be impacted by such cross-media consolidation?
The FCC wants to hear from you!
Please visit: www.fcc.gov for further details
I hear basketball players are tall. If they think they can clean up a sport in which cheating is an art form good luck. They have as much chance as the NBA does using short guys.
I guess when I switched to the new blogger it dropped my email address from the profile. It's fixed.
