Court arbitrators often not neutral, report claims
In addition to admitting taking bribes our past president Judge Conahan is being accused of stacking the deck in personal injury cases resulting in what one attorney called “outrageous awards."
A few years ago one of our local barristers told me he could predict the outcome of most civil actions just by knowing the names of the attorneys involved and what Judge would hear the case.
What else has been for sale in the courthouse?

Why am I not shocked that Luzerne County arbi"traiters" aren't fair?
Everything going on under the dome is the reason for RICO statutes.
It makes you wonder how long justice has not been served to the people in this county. This is at every level of govt - local, state, and federal. Corruption has no party. All are guilty. I'm afraid to say what % of all local, state, and federal politicians and judges from all parties are corrupt. How did our country get like this? A big part of it, is people put $$$ before people.
The corruption surrounding the health care system - I think there's one thing we can all agree on, all voters, is all Americans should have the right to quality health care at a price that won't make you broke or lose your house. Let's all start there.
It was interesting to see Joe Quinn as one of the people who was asked some questions about this fixing of arbitration (Time Leader). I understand 17 lawyers have received "the letter" (commonly called a target letter) and this investigation is in full swing. Interestingly, I've never heard Attorney Quinn's name raised as a target.
Expect more to come out after the plea today. This is the first step in the process of having the judges roll. The sentencing guideline start at a certain level, then time can be taken off for certain actions (like pleading and cooperating). That is why you won't see a sentencing of the judges for some time - the Feds will milk them for extensive cooperation and can pull their recommendation if the judges don't play ball.
Better check the deed for the courthouse they might have sold it to the mob
"A Bureaucrat is the most despicable of men, though he is needed as vultures are needed, but one hardly admires vultures whom Bureaucrats so strangely resemble. I have yet to meet a Bureaucrat who was not petty, dull, almost witless, crafty or stupid, an oppressor or a thief, a holder of little authority in which he delights, as a boy delights in possessing a vicious dog. Who can trust such creatures?" -- Cicero
