Before a crowd of over 200 people today Pittston attorney Joe Terrana at the FM Kirby Center announced he is running for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Luzerne County. His kids lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance and recounted his roots of growing up in Pittston.
.
He was genuinely funny explaining that when he went to confession he hoped to have a priest that couldn't hear him and wouldn't remember what he said. He worked in Washington and locally for Congressman Paul Kanjorski and told a story of how hard it is to say no to Kanjo when he wants you to work for him.
.
A few thing connected with me. He recounted when he was just 13 years old he watched the Watergate hearings and was taught that not even the President of the United States could get away with violating the public trust. I'm also a Watergate baby. He said when he was working as an attorney working in DC and Virginia he knew he wouldn't be part of the community and wanted to return home. I felt the same way when I lived in Boston. He stated that he was able to say no to people when they asked him to do something he thought was not on the up and up by asking himself how would his parents feel if he if did something dishonorable.
.
There were many lawyers there so I took the advice of my friend David and put my wallet in an inside pocket. Just kidding guys. I spotted Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton and former Luzerne County Commissioner who is now the Chamber of Commerce head honcho Todd Vonderheid in the audience.
.
I had a nice chat with Congressman Paul Kanjorski who admitted to reading my blog as Joe does as well. He said he is a big fan of blogs which surprised me. We discussed his new found celebrity as a result of the Bernie Madoff hearings and his scaring the bejeezus of out of us in his C-Span appearance. I also told him that his press secretary, Abbie McDonough, is doing a great job of keeping us informed. He said that "you are only sane one out there." My wife would disagree.
.
I asked Joe one question. Another candidate said “I won’t accept any donations from attorneys or members of their families,” Marsilio said. “As a lawyer, I was taught to always avoid even the appearance of conflict of interest.”
.
He said "I'm not a rich man." And would take contributions from lawyers.
Here is his press release.

Senior Military Officers Probed for Corruption in Iraq
The New York Times reports federal authorities are now investigating senior US military officers on corruption charges connected to the $125 billion US-led reconstruction effort in Iraq. Last month, investigators subpoenaed the personal bank records of retired Army Colonel Anthony Bell, who was in charge of reconstruction contracting in Iraq in 2003 and 2004. In addition, investigators are examining the activities of Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Hirtle, who was a senior contracting officer in Baghdad in 2004. It is unclear how much reconstruction money went missing, but The Independent of London reports it could turn out to be the greatest fraud in US history, a bigger theft than Bernard Madoff’s $50 billion Ponzi scheme.

Those days are GONE!!! (see my above links)
What's going to happen to George W. Bush, in reference to the above links I posted? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!
There's enough documentation that Bush lied us into war for $$$, and should be tried for mass murder, as well as 4,000+ dead troops and tens of thousands of maimed troops, and 1 million + innocent Iraqi civilians dead.
If Kanjorski says you are the only sane blogger out there, then I have to conclude that he got hold of my medical records via the new stimulus plan recently passed. Who says things move slowly in Washington???
Ok big Dan go get the rope and get it over with do you can get a new Republican too hate.
Better yet, why not get some new parts for your head while you're at it
Hey Big Dan, yesterday my car had a flat tire. Do you know who is to blame for that? Bush. I bought the tire while he was president. My garage door broke the other day. Guess who gets the blame for that? Bush I just washed my car and it starts to snow. Guess who I blame for that Bush!!!! Maybe you should purchase a ticket to Iraq and visit some of the mass graves in Northern Iraq. Notice one thing all of the graves have the same death date. Interesting!!!! Do you know who it to blame for that Clinton he ignored it. I am proud of the job Bush did in protecting this country. I hope you agree with that.
Dig Dan looks like a real jerk off who knows how to vote democrat
