Dueling endorsements

Christine Katsock got some good news today by way of the Times-Leader. They endorsed her for the 121st District House seat that is centered on Wilkes-Barre. The Citizens Voice came out for her opponent Eddie Pashinski. It's great having 2 papers.

The Voice said Pashinski is a man on a mission who has passion and intensity and dismissed Katsock without explanation. The TL took a little more critical view of Eddie Day. He wants studies, commissions and task forces to address the issues before he makes up his mind. In other words he's clueless. For all the criticism she takes no one can say that Katsock doesn't know the issues. Agree with her or not she knows what she wants to do.

Yeah, great article by the Times-Leader. I'm glad that they feel that selling trinkets on eBay is equated to 35 years of positions of responsibility and leadership. And, just for the record, running for office and losing four times is not a qualification, it's telling of the absence of real attributes which would benefit the citizenry in the occupation of a public office.

Thanks Ed

Christine Katsock is a Qualified Person to hold the 121st District Office...Christine is a hard working Republican that is only interested in the best intrest of the taxpayers of the 121st District...Eddie Day has proven time and again that he is part of the network of Politicians in this area that are just interested in the Power and prestige of public office and has no previous exposure to trying to run for political office to help the taxpayers ...I vote for Christine Katsock as a State representavive with integrity and honesty.

Ed Pashinski has a constructive plan to fix the state's health care crisis and he will work very well with Phyllis Mundy, who is leading this effort. The best Katsock can suggest is capping damage awards for proven malpractice, instead of fixing the health care system to prevent the malpractice.

I see Levinson is still out to promote his ISO9000 sales. It's a shame Bill that you would say that he would work well with Mundy, well maybe it's time someone in this area will help her because Eachus and Yudichak sure don't hop into photo ops with her.

Does everyone realize that as a teacher, Ed Pashinski had his health care paid in full for his entire career -- and still does! And now he wants to "fix" the healthcare system. I didn't see you looking for reform when you fought for benefits as the union rep of Nanticoke area teachers! No, you were out to get everything you could at tax payers expense. I agree with the Times Leader - if you win, the people of Wilkes-Barre lose!

"Constructive"! Pashinski proposes to "freeze" health care reimbursemnts, copays, and premiums for a year to "study" the problem. Think about this for a moment. Retail prices for medications will continue to increase, but under Pashinski's plan your reimbrusemnt levels will be "frozen". So we as the consumers will pay more for medicines while Ed and the other politicians "study". I am sure senior citizens will enjoy increased payments for medicines while Ed thinks!! Oh wait, I forgot this retired teacher / local rock star/ parking attendant with no business experience will be able to convince Aetna, Highmark BLue SHield, Geisinger, Doctors, nurses , hospitals ( I could continue to list but you get the point) to "freeze" while he "studies"! "Constructive" no, lack of intellectual depth, yes!

Ed should just use his patent Steer clear then smear campaign he loves to do at the end of election time..... I would like to take credit for that little jingle but i just saw it on w-bpolitics....

Wait, so Christine Fatsock's experience is from peddling trinkets on eBay? Not exactly Jack Welch there. She plays the organ at church and lives with her parents....she wants to eliminate property tax...but doesn't even own any property, makes sense.

Catsock is Bill James, without a dick, I think...

That post above that smeared Katsock is the reason I am voting for her. Obviously if Wilkes-Barre has time for studies then they wouldn't be in the shape they are now. Action speaks louder than words and studies done today are as good as toilet paper next year.

No way "Bee Keeper"....This race lost its best candidate when Kane got out!

Kane is horrible, she is part of the problem of nepotism,
JJ murphy was the best candidate, much more qualified then his brother running for congress.
he is alo not from here so therefore his temptaion for nepotism is less

Spare me, Murphy had no reason to be in the race anyway! He showed his colors in turning his back on McGroarty who gave him his start. Kathy Kane would have fought hard, she is tough! She was the one who fought Leighton when they shut down our firehouse, Pashinski was never at a meeting!! Never!! ANd Murhpy was with LEighton to shut it down, not Kathy!!

I think you Kane and Murphy fans out there in the blogosphere, are forgetting just throwing your name on the ballot isn't enough.....You need some name recognition, and some money.....JJ's brother is in a congress fight, how could jj raise money for the fight?
