Stay off I-81 tomorrow

TT: Mr. Bush will fly from Washington into the airport on Air Force One in the early afternoon and head for Keystone College in LaPlume Township for a fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Don Sherwood, R-Tunkhannock Strangler....Afterward, Mr. Bush will race back to the airport and fly to Virginia to another fundraiser, one for incumbent Virginia Sen. George Allen, who is locked in a tight re-election battle.

Admission is $350 a person. A picture with the president costs $2,500 a person and $5,000 a couple.

Another Monkey drives the route everyday.

The past few weeks have been a season of construction delays along my commute on Interstate 81. We began with "emergency bridge repairs" several weeks ago and have now carried on to "sign inspection", which caused this morning's commute to be about 75 minutes long instead of the usual 40-45 minutes....Worse delays are probably coming on Thursday, when the hugely unpopular lame-duck occupant of the office of the President of the United States will be in the area to lend his support to the hugely unpopular incumbent Congressional Representive for the 10th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

I'm sorry I'll be missing the prez tomorrow. I'm scheduled to be taking a dump right at that time. But I'll send a check. Really!
