The military commissions act

The United States Constitution

Article I Section 9

The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it.

This Act resembles a few others in our history:

The Alien Enemies Act

The Sedition Act

...and of course the McCarthy period of the 1950s.

The old adage is that America can only lose its freedom if Americans allow it. I spoke to several people about this subject today and all of them were unaware and non believing. I would suggest to all Americans to take a little time from watching Dancing With the Stars or Desperate Housewives and use it to read the newspapers and the Constitution. Your Country is calling you--will you answer?? Good Luck America!

I'm angrier than Gerry Studds in bed with 67 female virgins over this post! America is not about the damned constitution--its about freedom! And if we have to spy on people and torture people to save our freedom then so be it! The constitution is a piece of old paper written by a bunch of Commie lawyers (do i have to go any further?). I'll take the word of my beloved President over the Commie constitution anyday!!! Vote Santorum and to Hell with Liberals!!!! God I hate you all!!!!!!
