Petition Day

Today was the last day to file nominating petitions and we got a few surprises. It's almost like the trade deadline in MLB but not as important.

Some surprises.

In the US Senate race Joseph Vodvarka of Allegheny county filed as a Dem making Arlen Specter's and Joe Sestack's life more complicated.

Republican Terrance O’Connor, of Monroe County will be running against against Mike Carrol in the 119th.

In the State Senate 14th Distcrict Michael Saporito of Pittston Twp. will take on W-B Mayor Tom Leighton and State Rep John Yudichak in the Democratic primary.

So Third District Democrat Chair will not be pushing Pittston's Luddy Fleming to file as a Republican against Mike Carroll. Mr Fleming lucked out again. He would have come in third in the Pittston mayoral race but ducked that bullet by dropping out at the last minute. If he listened to that idiot Third Dist Chairman, he would have finished so far behind they would not have even given him credit for even being in the race. Some people just don't get it and I blame that on a mental deficiency. Luddy Fleming abandoned his friends and his Party and no longer has any semblance of a political future.
