According to the story Carney collects his salary and owns a house. While Hackett collects a salary from only one of his many companies and lists the rest of his income as coming from investments. When asked about Hackett spending his own money in the race spokesman Mark Harris said he didn’t anticipate Hackett spending money in the general election.

Which is a little different than what he told me a few days ago:
