Predictions

Infrequent blogger and regular commenter Bill Fitz gives his predictions of the local races that seem to come more from his heart than his head. From My Take:

I just have some last minute observations about NEPA politics

Sichler wins the 117th

Mike Carrol and Author Broubine win their primaries and it can be close in November for the 118th

O'Donnell wins his primary for the 121st and Katsock can win if she focuses on his Sciencetology

Chake will win in the 120th primary and can beat Mundy

Haggerty wins the 20 with a plurality with baker coming in 2nd. The fractured back Mountain and Maderia's efforts in the sticks spoil it for Baker.

that's it for now I hope I am right about at least one prediction.

Why doesn't anyone think my guy can win!?

117th - up for grabs, but not Sichler's

120th - Hard to beat Mundy

20th - Heard polls showing unlikely candidate, so you won't see the polls

118th O'Brien

121st - O'Donnell coming on strong, don't discount Pashinski.

I think pashinski could have made a run but his campaign is the worst ever, he cant get off the ground, his inexperience is showing

Googled to this site:

Why do you predict Carroll and Bobbouine for the General Election? If it is based on demographics and population then my fear is realized - it is about who you know not what you know. If it is about experience, a proven track record and training my chances increase. At the Luzerne debate I not only gave responses but offered solutions to some of the pressing problems of the 118th District.

This weekend I will be posting my responses and position statements on my website. I welcome your input.

Experimnce Caroll Was Chief of Staff for Yuddi the only man who did not vote for the pay raise
Bobine is a deputy sheriff

Bill,

We all have experience to some extent. I am by no means negating any accomplishments Mike and Art may have. (BTW: my ending comments at the debate had nothing to do with Mike's endorsement as the newpaper tried to imply.)

By experience, I am not only referring to my professional/business/educational/etc experience, I am also referring to a voting record citizens can judge me by.

This is in addition to the advisory role I have played drafting proposed amendments to Bills as a member of the AIA's legislative arm.

John, here is some advise
A real candidate for state does not comment on blog post like this, You should have supportes who do that for you(maybe its not you ) Im sure if you had some things to say you can be nice and asked Gort may just post a press release you send him.
But you should check this Blog ounce an hour every day, just dont get into comment fights, Thats for Political Junkies and College students who are putting off other work
Getting elected is to important

You have more importnat things to do, like making phone calls to prospective voters. and if its late reviewing the calls you made and planning for tommorow.

why do you think phone calls are a positive thing??? Any candidate who interrupts my day by calling is NOT getting my vote!!!

I don't know why Fitzpatrick is such a phone call phonatic. I agree with the comment above. A political candidate disturbing the peace of my home to pitch him or herself is just as annoying to me as the telemarketing scoundrels in this world.

Does Sichler have any supporters outside of his family and their paid associates? I'm pretty involved in the 117th and have yet to meet anyone voting for him who is not related. I say he's just a kid whose Mommy/"Campaign Manager" is willing to dump money into her aspirations for him. (Try talking to him alone without her by his side; he's like a fish out of water!)

Sichler seems like a nice kid, but I don't think he wants to be a politician. Davis seems to have some followers. Has anyone seen any polls for the 117th? Rumor is the 20th senate polls are not favorable to the "incumbant".

Then you dont know how real grassroots politics works,
Phone calls and door knocks are the best way to get people to the polls

No not yard signs

Bill,

I believe your comment was directed towards me although it was addressed to "John". Thanks for the "advise".

It's unfortunate you think real candidates shouldn't post on blogs and should speak through supporters. I am a real candidate and believe candidates should be available to constituents and not hide behind groomers and advisors.

As far as having more "importnat" things, your statement degrades the bloggers. I think sites like this are important in a grassroots effort to get out my message and I value these postings as much as my phone calls and house visits. I am campaigning here.

Finally, I will take one piece of advice from you, no comment fights. If you want to talk issues or even character I'd be happy to discuss.

Thanks,

Jim

Bill, No yard signs, is it because your candidate has virtually no signs. I saw like 10 of his. I wouldn't put it past Cordora to win the 120th or that other fellow Stebbins. You forgot to state that your pick was also the guy you represent. Oh by the way Bill, I live in Swoyersville and I met both of the other guys and not your candidate. Stick with picking Kings Homecoming Electionc. Scranton U. Rules

Hey Scranton U, the campaign you said that has no yard signs, try we've distributed 76 to individual businesses and homes with an additional 20 or so in startegic locations. There are also approximately 10 alone in Swoyersville. Get yourself out of your home, stop being a hermit and check it out.

I have been out in swoyersville and the road that leads in has more of that other fellas signs than you have in your own town. Hahahahahaha I've always backed Cordora and will still because your strategy stinks,
Scranton U. all the way.
