Pennsylvania 10th CD debate

SU College Republicans Host 10th Congressional District Debate:

WKOK and Daily Item to Co-Moderate

On March 17, 2008, the SU College Republicans will host the 10th Congressional District Debate between candidates Chris Hackett and Dan Meuser. The debate will be moderated by a representative from WKOK, the Daily Item, and the SU College Republicans. The debate will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Isaacs Auditorium located in Seibert Hall. The debate will last one hour and will cover issues decided on by the three moderators.

"We want to give the community a chance to listen to what each candidate has to say in order to make an educated decision on April 22. This will be an important race in November. Each candidate needs to show the community that he can beat Chris Carney." said Mike Ubbens, Chair of the SU College Republicans.

Each question will be posed by the moderators, giving each moderator an opportunity to ask a question. The questions will be decided on by the moderators and will not be issued to the candidates beforehand.

I have a few questions I would like to ask the candidates and maybe I will get the opportunity soon with a little help from my friends.

This is great. Meuser chickened out of the first debate - the SU guys were really embarassed since they promoted the debate for a month as well as in the paper and such - guess Meuser now realizes how far behind he is.

Carney is going to win in November, but it's fun to watch these guys go at each other.

Rumor has it Hillary will be in town for the parade - anyone going?

Here's a question to ask Mr. Meuser. How does he feel about same sex marriges? Considering his replacement at Pride is a men hating lesbian liberal who trained under his wing I would like to see how he feels about that conservative issue. Or is that another thing he's "liberal" on?

1. Hey SU is a great venue isn't it rusty?

2. What do meuser and carney have in common? They both like hillary and charlie rangel

You know until just now I didn't fully appreciate just how low some people would go to try to undermine Dan and his candidacy.

Pride Mobility is an asset to the area, it is, as all companies in the USA, an equal opportunity employer.

Pride's senior management team is the envy of the industry, driving the company to record sales, and market share year after year.

Dan believes in, and supports Traditional Marriage, you can find his views on his web-site.

You, Mr. anonymous, ought to be ashamed of yourself.

these nasty gutter comments are what maderia / hackett thrive on .. scorched earth tactics,, he did it against lisa baker, it backfired.

maderia is a 3 time loser ,, hope soon it's 4.. these guys are just too mean ..

Please cut it out with all the "scorched earth" comments.

First of all, the only scorched earth was from Bigus and Haggerty.

Second, Madeira lost 1 time, but came in second in a 5 way race, running an issue oriented campaign, not a bad showing.

Third, anything posted on as anonymous on these blogs aren't worth the paper they aren't printed on!

You know what? Screw you Scott, you're a small, bitter person, and a poor excuse for a human being.

You and "His Holiness" spout off about your values & virtues and it is becoming very apparent that you have neither.

You,and Maderia, attacked Lisa Baker calling her a "baby killer", and now you deny it.

You have sunk to levels that frankly I would have thought even beneath you, nothing you do or say surprises me. You are beneath comtempt.

You better hope God has a sense of humor, otherwise take plenty of sun-screen.

Chris, great team you've assembled, you must be very proud, it's a wonder you can look at yourself in the mirror.

Issues my friend, issues are going to carry the day. Anything to say on genuine isues?

Adios

I would love to know what I posted on this blog (that you can substantiate) that makes you call me a small, bitter peron.

Your comments remind me of that old question..."Have you stopped beating your wife?"

I have never said anyting that I would not stand behind or could not be verified.

If a simple disagreement on a candidate and his principles makes me beneath your contempt, I feel sorry for you.

I have spoken only of issues, and will continue to do so, no matter what invectives you may toss my way.
