The 2nd Presidential debate

Before I read or watch any post game reports on the debate between Barrack Obama and John McCain I want to give you a chance to chime in.

This format was supposed to be Mac's greatest strength but Barry held his own and that is all Obama had to do. I still say that this election will be a blowout.

Our last poll had Joe Biden winning the VP debate:

Joe Biden 42%

Sarah Palin 31%

Tina Fey 22%

Draw 4%

The Tina Fey vote just shows what a joke Palin is.

There is a new poll on the sidebar. Who won tonight's debate? Tell me why your guy did better than the other one in the comments.

There is no way after the debate that those undecided voters don't have a clear idea who is the better choice. Barack was calm, cool, and showed beyond a shadow of doubt who would fit the bill of leading our country. GO OBAMA

sure, Obama is very charasmatic and comfortable when he speaks. So friggin what!!!!! WTF does that have to do with someone's character and their judgement?
Why didn't the Dems just float George Cloony out there? It would have been a landslide.
Fact of the matter is, he was hand picked years ago. We're hearing the same crap we heard from the Clintons about fixing health care.
I wish McCain would just take off the friggen gloves already instead of being such a big pussy.
Why didn't he call Obama out on Fannie May??? Obama received more money than anyone else from Fannie and Freddie but no one is asking about it.
There are so many passes this man is getting it's almost laughable.

I WOULD NOT GO SO FAR AS TO COUNT SENATOR MCCAIN OUT AS OF YET. HAD THE SENATOR GONE DIRECTLY AFTER MR. OBAMA LAST EVENING HE WOULD HAVE MOST CERTAINLY BEEN BRANDED BY THE PRESS AS A GRUMPY OLD UNBALANCED MAN. I BELIEVE THAT HE PERFORMED WELL; IT IS ADVISEABLE TO LET MS. PALIN GO AFTER MR. OBAMA AND HIS QUESTIONABLE TIES. MOST OF THE POLLING FOR THE ELECTION SHOWING MR. OBAMA AHEAD IS RELYING SOLELY ON THE LITTLE CHILDREN WHO SUPPORT HIM ACTUALLY SHOWING UP TO VOTE. IT IS ONE THING FOR A CHILD TO WATCH A CLOWN SHOW AT HIS BIRTHDAY PARTY; IT IS QUITE ANOTHER FOR THAT SAME CHILD TO GIVE THE CLOWN A PIECE OF HIS BIRTHDAY CAKE. IN SHORT, IT WILL NOT BE SURPRISING TO SEE ON POST ELECTION WEDNESDAY THAT ALL OF THE YOUNGSTERS SPENT ELECTION DAY IN BED SLEEPING OFF MONDAY NIGHT'S PRE ELECTION DRINKFEST. AS YOUNG CHILDREN ARE FICKLE AT BEST, OLDER REPUBLICAN VOTERS ARE QUITE DEPENDABLE WHEN IT COMES TO SHOWING UP AT THE POLLS (ASK GEORGE BUSH, CIRCA 2004). AS FOR THE SO CALLED ECONOMIC CALAMITY; IT IS NOTHING LESS THAN HYPE DRUMMED UP TO HURT SEN. MCCAIN. THE STOCK MARKET GOES BOOM AND BUST FROM TIME TO TIME AND MOST CERTAINLY IT SHALL REBOUND. CLASS DISMISSED.

The format was a real let down, as was Brokaw. Neither candidate hit home runs, but I think Obama got runs in on a few errors by McCain:

-Health Care, McCain said it was a responsibility, not a priviledge.

-Understanding, McCain went into the "on the job training" thing and said Obama just doesn't understand things, to which Obama replied, I dont understand how we went to war with the wrong country (paraphrase)

Obama was clear, direct and spoke to the audience.

McCain was clearly annoyed, referred to Obama as "that one" and interrupted him at least once.

Can you tell it's the playoffs? do I have enough baseball analogies?

So Pope, you are the Professor also. It must be nice to play both sides of the aisle. You should think about running for office.

As for ANON 9:16a.m., if I want to vote for a grumpy old man, I'll choose my father-in-law, thank you. He has experience also. And he graduated from the "School of Hard Knocks" (#1 in his class). Who cares if Obama was hand picked.

McCain is not equipped to be President. I don't believe prisoner of war is a qualification. That might have something to do with finishing 894 out of 899 graduates in his class from the naval academy. I didn't agree with Gort in the beginning, but I am starting to think he may be right about a landslide.

McCain has one more chance next week. I wish him well. Did you ever think that if McCain takes the gloves off Barack has just as much ammo to throw back at him.

I do not understand why the Pope would attempt to mock me, but I must say he made a valiant attempt to satirize my views. I wish fully that the webmaster would do his job and refrain from attempts at sabotaging the reputations of commentators by other lesser talented gentlemen of opinion. Once more, for one and all, the post by the Pope was a bedeviled attempt to mock your devoted professor. Class dismissed (for real, this time)!!!!!!!!
