The Latest Hackett ad

Had my jaw dropping.

10th PA Congressional Republican nominee Chis Hackett has been playing catch up to Frosh Democrat Chris Carney and seems to have thrown in the towel on the Presidential race.

The message I get from this spot is the 'Democrats are going to win so vote for me.' It doesn't make any sense. If there is going to be a Democrat in the White House and the Congress is going to be controlled by the other party and you keep telling people that you won't ask for any pork, what is the reason we should vote for you? We don't want backbench members of the minority party pleading our case in Washington be it Hackett or Barletta. They won't get anything done.

An added bonus of this ad is that Hackett has that Conservative Icon Senator Arlen Specter making the case. Maybe they should have just shown footage of a slow motion train wreck.

hackett deserves to lose for not going after Carney support for the war and his work on the intel that "proved" an Iraq Alqueda connection. He worked in the office of special plans or as colin powell called it the "little Gestapo"

Using Specter to support your candidacy? Have the Toomey tools gone mad? Hypocrites!

Isn't Specter the guy who came up with the "one bullet theory" when JFK was assinated? What does that tell you? Duh!! Do you want to elect someone he's supporting????

If you told me two years ago that Carney would be reelected, I'd have laughed in your face. Not only will he win, but this Sherwood diehard is voting for him. Wake me up when Meuser runs again.

I'm confused. Hackett is an ally of Pat Toomey, more like a disciple. Toomey and his ilk despise Arlen Specter and everything he stands for, they can't wait for the day that Specter no longer sits in the Senate.

Why then would Hackett even want Specter's "endorsement", what would he have had to promise in order to secure support?

Hackett has a well deserved reputation as a liar and a hypocrite, God knows what he promised Arlen, I just hope Aren is smart enough not to believe anything that Hackett says.

I wonder how Toomey and his sycophants feel above Hackett straying from the reservation?

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I can only think of one word "unfuckingbelievable". Sorry gort but that was the only word I could think of. I am a conservative Republican. I can not believe this big government crap Hackett and the Republicans are touting. In the past 8 years (6 controlled by the Republicans)we have seen our government grow out of control. Our fiscal policies have created a debt tsunami (10.4 trillion) and have taken us from a world power to a second tier player. I supported and gave money to George Bush and the republicans and I want my money back. I have never been so embarassed by this party as I am now. Where have you gone Newt Gingrich. This party needs a leader with new ideas and God help us if people think it is this dolt Sarah Palin. One to watch is Lousiana Governor Bobby Jindal- smart (Rhode Scholar) and great proactive leadership (look at him lead in regards to the Hurricane).

Hackett you are truly a twit, just supports what people are saying that Hackett is not to be trusted and he can't tell the truth.

I know this is a very, very late hit (November 6th!), but I just had to express how funny it is to be hearing this dire warning coming from the folks who boasted of a "permanent Republican majority." Like other reigns that promised to be long-lived, that sure didn't last.

But we JUST missed it. Had McCain won, we would have seen a Supreme Court dominated by activist extremists in the mold of Scalia, Thomas, Alito, and Roberts for decades to come, reinterpreting laws as they saw fit to further their own ideologies rather than the intent of the people who drew up the Constitution.
