Why don't we have more summer holidays? Memorial Day starts the summer and Labor Day ends it. The only mid summer holiday is Independence Day. We have 6 holidays between November and February. Why couldn't Washington, Lincoln and MLK Jr been born in the summer? And they certainly could have called off World War I a few months earlier. We need a holiday in August. I propose August 16. That is the day both Babe Ruth and Elvis Presley died.
They are two of the biggest American cultural icons and it would be fitting to honor them.

Sounds good, we'll start by having 3-4 hotdogs and then follow that down with a pitcher of beer, while we sit around and talk about how we should get paid more than the president because we had a better year. After that we'll wind down by watching old black and white movies with this goofy guy chasing around skirt singing a silly love song with his banjo and his sembrero on after he punches someone in the saloon. Sounds like fun, but I could always use a day off.

Wonderful, we can all over eat, smoke, drink and be obnoxious and then to top it off take drugs until our bodies scream no more and wind up dead on our bathroom floors. Sounds like a great idea. Come on, you can come up with a better idea for a holiday than that.
