A happy Day
With longtime Democratic insiders Brian O'Donnell and Bob Reilly running against each other there was an opening for an outsider. Eddie Day Pashinski filled that opening. He is now the Democratic nominee to succeed to replace Kevin Blaum as the 121st District Represenative. But a few insiders were at his victory party.
CV: Tonight starts the beginning to get ready for November,” Pashinski told a cheering crowd, which included Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton, Council Chairman Tony Thomas Jr. and City Controller Bernie Mengeringhausen. “It is unbelievable what all of us went through to get to this point.”
The Republican nominee, Christine Katsock, is no pushover. She has detailed positions on just about everything. She gave Tom Leighton a run for his money in the W-B Mayor's race.
This is a weird year anything can happen.

I like Jim. I had a chance to talk with him about 2 weeks ago. But he just didn't have the money, which is sad. But this race shows money isn't everything.
You want a 62 year old rock and roller with minimal political knowledge, you got him. Remember, it takes at least 10 years to get some recognition/seniority on the state congressional floor. Hopefully Eddie rock n' roll will still be with us when that happens. Any of the 3 would have been a better choice, baggage or not (or whatever you want to call it).
First of all, he's 60. Second of all, how do you know his political knowledge? Did you test him? Funny, he has more knowledge of state legislative politics than any other candidate. As Director of PSEA's Legislative Committee for 13 years, he knows more State level officials than you will ever know.
Stick to the facts...and next time at least leave a name before launching a baseless ad hominem attack.
Cobra, you blowin Eddie? I'll bet you are, you sly devil you ;-)
