A couple of good local blogs

The Lu Lac Political Letter is written by longtime radio guy David Yonki. He has many connections to the movers and shakers of Luzerne County and is not shy about telling you what he thinks of them. He is a talented writer that has done some original reporting on the local scene. His coverage of the recent 121st district debate was better than anything I read in the local rags. He is also the author of a book about his years in the radio biz "A Radio Story/We Wish You Well In Your Future Endeavors". I plan to read it as soon as get done with Woodward's new book.

Another local radio veteran and newpaper columnist writes about his life in Wilkes-Barre. Tom Carten is the producer of WRKC's Radio Home Visitor. He doesn't get political but tells you about what is happening on North Franklin St. and at Kings College. Check out Things at King's.

I've seen a few other local blogs pop up about local politics but the authors seem to put up a few posts and then lose interest. I'll keep an eye on them and highlight them if they statrt to update regularly. If any local bloggers out there want to be noticed and join the discussion contact me or Another Monkey. We are happy to add you to NEPA Blogs.
